Job Description Our client, a prestigious federal museum in Washington DC, is looking for a Sharepoint Server (MOSS) 2007 Engineer to join their team. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement SharePoint 2007 sites Identify and integrate web parts under MOSS infrastructure based on Museum requirements Serve as Central and Site Collection Administrator and DBA for Microsoft SharePoint 2007. Support, develop, upgrade and maintain Microsoft SharePoint technologies for document collaboration and information-sharing across the organization and with business partners. Manage and maintain MOSS technical infrastructure including MOSS databases. Respond to and resolve technical problems including database-related issues, Provide training on MOSS to other technical staff and fellow engineers. Assist IT staff in-charge of training Museum staff on MOSS usage training. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of five+ years experience in Intranet design, development, deployment and management. A minimum of five years experience in SharePoint including design, implementation, administration, management and maintenance. A minimum of two years experience in MOSS 2007 including design, implementation, administration, management and maintenance. Experience gathering and documenting user requirements and translating the requirements in functional SharePoint sites. Experience developing solutions with web parts. Experience identifying, based on Museum requirements, and implementing third party solutions, web parts and other plug-in technologies for MOSS 2007. Must have the ability to learn new skills and keep current with changing information technology, including MOSS. Knowledge of XML, IIS, and Web Services. Strong problem solving skills and methodical troubleshooting are required. Ability to write documentation to describe process and common work instructions. Must have the ability to work independently and be available for after hours support as needed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS SQL Server 2000/2005 TCP/IP ASP.NET J2SE, HTML, SharePoint 2003/MOSS 2007 Windows Server OS and VB Scripts Certifications preferred: - Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) - MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Configuration - MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Application Develop
